About
Hip.Bang! is an award-winning comedy and theatre duo that has developed five original stage productions and toured worldwide as improvisers and comedians.
Their forays into traditional theatre spaces have been subversive, surprising and hilarious, including hits like 2019’s Surveil (Artistic Risk Award, Vancouver Fringe) and The History of Romance (five stars, Edmonton Journal).
In both their written and improvisational work, Hip.Bang! seeks to expand audiences’ understandings of the boundaries of theatre through structural innovation, audience interaction, and comedic excellence. Hip.Bang!’s creative catalogue includes over hours of film/video content for CBC Comedy, much of which is viewable on their YouTube channel. Their short film how to get through a day when you are always wet screened won the JFL NorthWest Short Shorts competition and screened at Just For Laughs Montreal.
Both Tom (A Million Little Things) and Devin (Prison Break, Legends of Tomorrow) work as actors and comedians, are co-founders of Blind Tiger Comedy and can be seen as part of the beloved improv group Treat Show Comedy every Saturday at 7:30 and 9:30 at China Cloud Studios.
